River Bandits Look To Finish On Top Of Season Standings
The Quad Cities River Bandits have two regular season home games left at Modern Woodmen Park. Sunday (9/1) and Monday (9/2) we'll have day baseball with first pitch scheduled for 1:15.
The River Bandits started the year strong despite playing over 40 of their first 45 games on the road due to the flooding in downtown Davenport. The QC 9 actually won the first half of the year goingn 43-23. While the second half of the season has not gone as well, the River Bandits still hold a half game lead in the overall standings.
While the team shoots for the overall season win, their dominance in the first half has already secured a spot in the playoffs. Those games will take place against Cedar Rapids Wednesday, Thursday and potentially Friday. For the rest of how the playoffs in MILB work, it can get a little confusing. You can check it out here.
First things first win these next games to take the overall season standings. Then get through Cedar Rapids this week.
