A new fundraiser is coming to The Rust Belt in East Moline and it sounds like a very delicious day.

It's called 'Taste of East Moline' and it will be on April 28 (which is a Thursday) from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. It's the inaugural year for the event, with plans to make it a yearly thing.

It will feature bite-sized menu samples from all kinds of QC restaurants, including (the list you're waiting for): Combine, Happy Joe's, Jewel-Osco, Junior's Sports Bar, Midwest Ale Works, Olde Town Bakery, Revive Cafe, Rudy's Tacos, Saint Giuseppes Pizza, The Palace, and more. So it's a pretty wide selection of restaurants for you to try (or revisit your old favorites).

Not only will there be good local food here, but you'll also be helping out the East Moline Community Fund with their annual grantmaking. Proceeds from the event are going to the EMCF, which is a partner fund to The Moline Foundation, and the two work together to build charitable resources for the area and to help citizens improve their community.

Besides bite-sized menu samples from the restaurants, there will be a wine pull and a cash bar, entertainment, and auction items. 'Taste of East Moline' is presented by East Moline Glass.

This is perfect for you if (like me) you would really rather not cook on a Thursday night and would much rather have yummy local food. You can go ahead and get your tickets for 'Taste of East Moline'. They're $25 and you can get them on Eventbrite here.
