Whether it's a concert, a sporting event or some good old fashion monster truck racing, we're super lucky to have a venue in our backyard that fills us with as much entertainment as it does pride.

Congrats to the wonderful staff at the TaxSlayer Center in Moline.  They always have had a world class arena and it's certainly nice when that fact gets recognized by non-Quad Citizens. I remember when Pearl Jam came to town and Eddie Vedder used the analogy of a first date as they prepared to play the venue they've never been to before.  I believe he said, in regards to the TaxSlayer Center..."thank god she's hot".

They ranked #5 in the US and #73 worldwide for ticket sales.

According to a Press Release:

TaxSlayer Center ranks #5 in the United States for concert ticket sales for arenas under 12,000 seats and #73 overall worldwide in Pollstar Magazine's list of the top 200 arena venues for concert ticket sales in its year-end analysis report for 2021. The TaxSlayer Center sold 40,771 tickets for concerts that grossed $2,360,417 after re-opening in July in a year that was shortened due to the pandemic.

"Thank you to all our partners in the live entertainment industry for working with us as to provide entertainment for the Quad City community as we emerged from a 16-month shut-down this past summer.” said TaxSlayer Center Executive Director, Scott Mullen. “It’s great to see all the upgrades we completed during that downtime contributing to provide a safer experience for all our acts and guests as we work our way back to normalcy in the new year.”

Speaking of the new year...here's a list of some upcoming events you need to know about:

What The Quad Cities Did For Fun in the 90's

Many times over the years, I'll be talking with friends about years gone by and I'll say "take me back".

Every generation goes through this, I assume. Looking back at a more simple time where responsibilities haven't set in and life seems fun. Opportunities are endless.

Let's go back to the 1990's to Wacky Waters, 50 Cent Beer night and revisit Mallards Mania!
