Here’s What’s Trending for Super Bowl LVI Bets
The biggest game of the year means the biggest betting day of the year. Super Bowl LVI is ready to go with the Rams and the Bengals taking the field and we chatted with the folks at Circa Sports Book to get the latest on this year's hot bets.
As of this story, the line sits at Rams -4.5 with an over/under of 48.5. But there still could be shifts as betters gear up for the big game. Jeff Benson from Circa Sports says this year's game probably won't be the biggest betting Super Bowl of all time for Las Vegas, but with sports betting becoming more and more available across the country (like in Iowa!) you never know if an overall record could be set.
Interesting Prop Bets Galor
Circa Sports has some unique ways of betting including their Octopus Prop which is a player scoring 8 points in a single drive. So you need a TD and two-point conversion. Or if you are a fan of the old-school Super Bowl party squares game, you can check out their Circa Squares. Same concept, but you pick your own numbers.
Another bet we talked about which was very interesting to me was the opening kick-off. Will the opening kick-off be a touchback? Now, you'd have to do the research on both kickers and both returners, but I would think this would be a touchback. The adrenaline from that kicker to start the game is going to be through the roof and you would think they would kick the ball out the building. I'd also think that the returner, unless super confident, doesn't want to be the one to screw up the first play of the game. And typically there are more bad things that happen in kick-offs than good things.
Take a listen as Jeff Benson with Circa Sports lays it all out.
Jeff and I spent 10 minutes getting into some great details like "home field advantage" and who he thinks will walk away with the Vince Lombardi Trophy. You can hear it all here.
