With online dating it's easy to find people to date.  Maybe not good people, but people.  And it appears their is one letter when scrolling through profiles you should avoid in Illinois.

But good news, the below study also has the best names to look for in Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin...wherever you might be looking for love.

51% of the Illinois population is single.  Of course this includes everyone.  From age 0-100.  So really, the dating population is less than that.  But they are still out there!

Th Marriage rate in Illinois in 2021 was 4.7 per 1000 people.  Compare that to 1990 when it was 8.0 per 1000 people and it clearly shows their are more fish in pond.  But the pond is just more of a cess pool.

This would also explain why divorce rates in Illinois are so low.  Because people aren't even giving other people a chance to say "I do".  The divorce rate is 6.2 per 1000 people based on the latest stats.

So you have time to find the right person, but you don't want to wade deep into that cess pool  If you have any early red flags and the person's name begins with a "J" maybe just go with your gut and move on.

Shaneco.com did a survey of the dating world and found that people whose name starts with a "J" are the worst to date.  However on the positive side for the single person in Illinois, find the "M".  Those appear to be the winners.

"J" was actually the most common initial in the survey for both negative and positive results around the country.

Meanwhile Iowa also had a lot of bad dates with the "J" but gets good results from "A" names.
