If you live within about three miles of any of our area race tracks, you know when the weather gets warm, there are cars flying around the track. The sound alone is enough to let everyone within a multi-mile radius know they're missing out on an exciting evening.

The 2022 season at the Davenport Speedway, located at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds, opens on Friday evening, with a Mars Racing Series to kick it off. The series is returning to Davenport, after their blockbuster event last July that was awarded the title of DirtOnDirt.com's 2021 Race of The Year.

Hoker Trucking is proud to partner with Mars Racing Series to bring the 11th Annual Thaw Brawl.

Friday, the cars will take the track, with the main event being a 40-lap race with a purse of $10,000. IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sport Mods will be on the undercard for the evening.

Saturday's undercard features IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sports Mods, as well as the Outlaw Street Stocks.

According to a press release, over 30 of the top drivers around the Midwest will be descending on Davenport Speedway, with even more expected to fill the pit by this weekend.
