With over 11,000 acres of water and 155 miles of shoreline, there are plenty of opportunities for swimming, boating, fishing, and other water activities. Additionally, the area is home to several hiking trails and scenic overlooks, making it a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts.

There are three designated swimming beaches at Rathbun Lake.  The beaches are maintained by the Corps of Engineers and cost $5 per car to use daily.
