10. Effingham

Effingham, IL has a population of about 12,300. It's in (go figure) Effingham County.

9. Pankeyville

Pankeyville is an unincorporated community in Saline County.

8. Round Knob

Round Knob is in Massac County, IL. It's about 6.5 miles north of Metropolis, IL.

7. Honey Bend

In Montgomery County, Illinois, you'll find the unincorporated township of Honey Bend.

6. Gross

In the southern part of Illinois, we find Gross.

5. Roaches

When trying to find pictures of Roaches, Illinois, I got way too many image results of cockroaches. Roaches is off of 64, down from St. Louis.

4. Muddy

The village of Muddy had a population of 38 (not thousand, just 38) back in 2020.

3. Goofy Ridge

In the 2020 census, Goofy Ridge, IL had a population of 238 people.

Boody is about 8 miles southeast of downtown Decatur. Its population is about 442.
