Traffic Alert: Centennial Bridge

As the summer weather continues for the Quad Cities, so does construction season.  Orange barrels and lane closures are common this time of year as crews still work to fix what winter left behind.

This week we are dealing with a lane closure on Centennial Bridge.  The work will continue through Thursday, July 25 with closures daily from 8 AM to 4:30 PM.

The lane closure will be in the Iowa-bound outside driving lane to allow IDOT workers to perform a bridge inspection.

Be prepared to use the other bridges to get into Iowa during this time.  One of which is also under construction and the other has barge traffic.

IDOT reminds drivers to please slow down and use extreme caution while driving through the work zone.
