There are few sporting events that have more history and pageantry than the Kentucky Derby. This isn't just a horse race. It's a social event! It's an excuse to get dressed up in your best suit or your favorite hat and enjoy a mint julip with friends. Derby watch parties are nothing new, but what about watching this year's Kentucky Derby at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City? Now that would be a party!

The Kinnick Derby is on Saturday, May, 6th in Iowa City. Just like patrons at Churchill Downs, everyone attending the derby party at Kinnick Stadium is also encouraged to dress up for the occasion. The event will run from 2:30 p.m. until 6 p.m. on derby day with the big race being shown on the jumbotron screens at Kinnick Stadium.
