Here Is How To Report Those Potholes You Keep Hitting In Davenport
Winter can be brutal on Quad City roads. We see them everywhere throughout the Quad Cities and they do a lot of damage to our vehicles. Luckily, the City of Davenport has a way for you to report those pesky potholes so crews can fix those bad boys up. Always remember: report a pothole, save a tire.

If you've driven in the city of Davenport (or really any Quad Cities town) you've most likely encountered massive holes in the earth that make you yell "WHAT THE F&*#!" at the top of your longs. After apologizing to your kids and sending your thanks to whoever is looking out for you by not letting you get a flat tire, you've realized you just smoked a pothole.
Now you know what part of Locust, I mean, the street, to avoid when you travel there again. But there is another step you should take after ruining your car via the pothole and that is to contact the Davenport Public Works Department.
Recently, the Davenport Public Works Department posted on social media reminding motorists in Davenport to report any potholes in their neighborhood or where they frequently travel in the city. Officials said that in between snows, they have teams call patching those potholes as they find them. They also patch potholes when you help report them.
Davenport Public Works officials say there are two ways to report a pothole.
- Call Davenport Public Works at 563-326-7923 during normal business hours of 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday
- Submit a request online at www.davenportiowa.com/pwrs. There you will tell them where the pothole is and submit photos if you can take some.
We know potholes can be a pain so do your part in reporting those pesky potholes. If you see a pothole, say something.
