Attending a Chicago White Sox game, here are some "do's and don'ts."

Going To A Chicago White Sox

I recently went to a game. My crew and I made some mistakes, so I thought I would give you a couple of tips so you do not do the same things. It can make a big difference in your experience.

The Do's And Don'ts Of Attending A Chicago White Sox Game

  • Do: Go around the city - The mileage might be longer but it will save you time in the long run.  I would go I-88 and I-55 into the city. My friend strongly suggested taking I-290, that was awful and just as bad if not worse than I-90.
  • Don't: Park In Lot C - Tailgating is a thing for Sox games, so I was excited when my friend got a parking pass. Unfortunately, it was for the only parking lot that tailgating was NOT allowed. We had to sit in our vehicle to pre-game.
  • Do: Purchase tickets in the lower level - You are no longer allowed to go between levels. If you are in the upper, that is where you must stay. With seats in the lower, you can walk all the way around the field. That is a great feature of the stadium.
  •  Don't: Wait to get concessions - The building was short-staffed so the lines got longer as the game went on. They have great food, just order it as you are arriving.

Review Of My Experience

Besides a couple of little things, I had a great night. I believe that Guaranteed Rate Field is a great place to watch a game. I would put it against Wrigley Field on the north side and American Family Field in Milwaukee and those are both amazing stadiums.

Here are some pictures from that night.
